The AERC's Professor Ray Hodgson introduced the day, and speakers included Professor Betsy Thom, John Eversley and Dr Rachel Seabrook.  The topics under discussion were: the vision of the Academy; trends in alcohol-related harm; strenthing the evidence base for alcohol harm reduction; influencing policy; alcohol and older people; and structural frameworks alcohol harm reduction partnerships.
