New Directions in the Study of Alcohol Group (NDSAG) has announced its 2013 conference which will take place at the Copthorne Hotel, Birmingham, England from 25th April to 28th April 2013.

The conference will address a number of themes including alcohol and the family - see the updated 2013 conference flyer.

The Home Office will launch the Alcohol Strategy Consultation later this autumn. As part of the consultation process they are facilitating a number of technical groups during December and January on specific policies contained with the strategy.

The Alcohol Academy has responded to the Government's Alcohol Strategy. Overall it welcomes the strategy, but calls for further reconition and support for local alcohol strategy as key to overall success.

The event, 'New Times, New Challenges', aimed to explore some of the key issues and subjects relevant to effective alcohol harm reduction at local and regional level.

New Directions in the Study of Alcohol Group (NDSAG) has announced its 2012 conference which will explore 21 years of experience and the future for motivational interviewing.

The conference will include a keynote from Professor Stephen Rollnick, author of 'Behaviour Change: a guide for health care professionals' and co-author with Bill Miller of the seminal 'Motivational Interviewing'.
